Parole Board Hearing Funding
Department of Justice Victims Fund
Victims who wish to attend a National Parole Board hearing may apply for financial assistance through the DOJ Victims Fund if they have:
- registered with Correctional Service of Canada or National Parole Board to obtain information under the Corrections and Conditional Release Act,
- applied to NPB to attend a NPB hearing of the offender who harmed them, and
- been approved by the NPB to attend the hearing.
Travel, hotel and meal expenses may be provided to a maximum of 3 days, 2 nights stay unless travelling from a rural or remote area or significant distance.
